GM Edits Their Stupid Ad

So there I was, watching the Oscars and speeding through the ads with the help of my TiVo remote, when I realized that the GM ad with the suicidal robot was on.

A rare move for me: hitting the reverse button to watch an ad.  This time, I’m glad I did.  GM took the suicidal moment out of the robot’s dream sequence (click here to see my earlier rant on the subject) and I didn’t think it hurt the ad that much. 

I was pleased to see that GM responded to the critics of the original ad, including The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP); the Foundation and GM reached an agreement on February 9

Sometimes being the squeaky wheel is a Good Thing.
